Top row: skinny kid on left is me, middle is Sterling J Robertson, Pilot, and Joe Lane, co-pilot. Bottom row: I can only remember two of the three names, Don Lane and Oliver (Pop) Lane, and I believe Don is center and I know Pop is on right end. (He was 32 yrs old, so he went by "Pop". (No Lanes related) (This was the crew I joined just before D-Day and they finished up about a month and a half later and went home. I had no regular crew so I had a long wait to finish up the rest of my 65 mission, finally got the last one in November. |
