On Flak Leave at St. Andrews, Jan 1944.  British gave us some civilian clothes to wear on our leave.

Digging air raid slit trench at Beaumont Jur Oise (French Base).   Everybody got busy digging
after ME 109s strafed base.  We
suddenly got motivated.

Plane name "Plew" in memory of my crew chiefs brother who was shot down and killed.  Plew is nickname of crew chiefs brother.  We were shot down in this plane 7-11-44.  Bailed out.  Only
